Pilot project for implementation of European Quality Management Tool – CAF launches Today, Governance Development Department of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government at a seminar held at the Serbia-Korea Information and Access Center (SKIP Center), officially started the process of implementation of the European Quality Assessment Tool – CAF (eng. Common Assessment Framework – CAF), which aims to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, economic and social responsibility of institutions in the public sphere. More than 50 countries, including all EU Members, implement CAF as a general framework for quality management in public administration, which is a prerequisite for Members to withdraw funds from EU Structural Funds. The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government will be the first to implement this quality management tool in the Republic of Serbia, in order to improve its work, but also to enable the establishment of a single center for the dissemination and implementation of CAF in Serbia in the future. The introduction of the Joint Framework for Quality Assessment of Public Administration (CAF) in the Republic of Serbia and mentoring for the implementation of the first pilot project for a period of six months, is implemented with the assistance of partners from the Ministry: the Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA) as a regional CAF center and the Research Center the Austrian State Administration (KDZ) as the Austrian CAF Center.
