In the period from December 2nd to 4th, 2019, in the Serbian-Korean Information Access Center, which is within the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia (Sector for Digitization of Cultural Heritage and Contemporary Artistic Production), training on how to work in the Unified Information System were organized. These training are intended for curators, conservators and administrators, employed in museums of the Republic of Serbia. The Unique Information System has been used in all museums of the Republic of Serbia since 2017, when it was confirmed by the Government as the only information system that will be used in museum institutions. The History Museum of Serbia and the Museum of Vojvodina are in charge of its implementation, so the final training for the curators of 26 museums were conducted by experts from these two institutions. On behalf of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, the Assistant Minister, Mr. Dejan Masliković, addressed the participants and emphasized that these trainings represent the last phase in the implementation of the Unified Information System in Museums. This Ministry has fully supported the digitization of movable cultural heritage and will continue to work on the continuation of this work, the establishment of stable infrastructure, and long-term cooperation between museums, in accordance with the recommendations given in the Guidelines for Digitization of Cultural Heritage. This continues the work on the digitization of documentation on museum objects. The ultimate goal is the visibility and accessibility of cultural heritage, which will be achieved in a unique way through the presentation of representative data on it.
