A two-day training for banks and leasing companies was held at the Serbian-Korean IT Access Center, which offered the best conditions according to the Public Invitation for participation of commercial banks and leasing companies in the implementation of the SME Support Program for the procurement of equipment in 2020, announced by Ministries of Economy.
In the future, this program will be fully implemented through an electronic application, without paper documents, and in accordance with the Law on General Administrative Procedure, all data will be obtained through direct exchange of data with the Agency for Business Registers, the Central Register of Compulsory Social Security, the Tax Administration and the National Bank of Serbia.
The training was delivered by OSA-Computer Engineering, which developed the application itself with the financial support of the German-Serbian Initiative for Sustainable Growth and Employment. The following banks and leasing companies participated in the training: Bank Inteza, Postal Savings Bank, Credit Agricole, Erste Bank, OTP Bank, Prokredit Bank, Intesa Leasing and Unicredit Leasing. For this program, 2 billion dinars of grants were provided in 2020. The Ministry of Economy co-finances the purchase of production and construction equipment in the amount of 25%, banks and leasing companies lend the amount of 70%, while the participation of the business entity is 5%. The support program for small and medium-sized enterprises for the procurement of equipment will start to be implemented in the second half of March, and micro, small, medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs have the right to participate in the program.
The program is implemented by the Ministry of Economy with the Serbian Development Agency in cooperation with selected banks and leasing companies.
