The Delegation of the National Information Society Agency of the Republic of Korea (NIA), in charge of international cooperation, visited the Serbia-Korea Information Access Center and on that occasion spoke with the head of SKIP Center Dara Gravara Stojanović. During the visit of the NIA of the Republic of Korea, new forms of cooperation and development of additional programs and projects have been discussed, which would contribute to the improvement of digitisation in the Republic of Serbia. During the negotiations, it has been concluded that the Republic of Korea will provide additional technical assistance and support to the functioning of the Serbia-Korea Information Access Center in Belgrade. The first SKIP Centre in Serbia has officially opened a year ago. The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government provided the space, while the Government of the Republic of Korea invested around 250,000 euros in the newest equipment. The Serbian-Korean IT Center is a multifunctional facility fully covered with a fast Wi-Fi internet connection. There are several IT classrooms highly technically equipped with Smart Podiums, modern projectors, video conferencing equipment, and also 50 newest laptops … At the SKIP Center, IT courses and lectures are being held every day, as well as the training for working on development platforms of the eGovernment, and workshops focused on improving digital skills of both public officers and citizens. So far, more than 15,000 people have successfully mastered the most diverse training for the development of digital competences, held in the SKIP Center.
