The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government of the Republic of Serbia, with the support of SlovakAid, held an online workshop today on the topic of open data within the project “The knowledge transfer in the field of digitalization of public administration in Western Balkans countries” implemented by the Partnership for Prosperity NGO of the Slovak Republic. Important experiences, practices and knowledge were exchanged between the two countries. The emphasis was on open data in public administration (legal framework, Open Data Portal and support for the use of open data). The emphasis at the workshop was also on monitoring the use of personal data, the concept of personal data management in public administration, as well as the role of this data in the process of standardization and optimization of electronic services in order to improve customer services. In the previous period, the Ministry, in cooperation with partners from Slovakia, organized several webinars and workshops in the field of e-government application. On that occasion, valuable experiences were exchanged, especially in the segment of providing services, establishing “one stop shops” and building the Central Population Register (Register of Citizens). The Ministry of PublicAdministration and Local Self-Government will continue to develop successful bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of digital transformation of public administration
